Sunni Waqf Board to move Supreme Court as Bhagwat, Modi welcome Ayodhya verdict

Sunni Waqf Board is set to move Supreme Court against High Court verdict as Bhagwat, Modi welcome Ayodhya verdict

By Khabrein.Info Correspondent,

New Delhi: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief, Mohan Bhagwat, was the first to give his reaction on the Ayodhya ruling by the Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court.
In a statement in Delhi, telecast by several national television channels, he said the judgement has paved the way for the construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya, but hastened to add that this is not the issue of defeat and victory.

Appealing to the the countrymen to maintain peace and calm he said that the people should bury the hatchet, end rancour, forget what happened in the past and join hands to built a Purshottam Ram Temple.

Expressing satisfaction over the rulling he said the anand (sense of pleasure) should be contained and all the old things should be forgotten as it is the victory of the nation.

Speaking in the same vein Gujarat chief minister Narenedra Modi said that nobody has emerged victorious, in fact it is the victory of the national pride. Modi talked more about the development and integration of the country and did not sound contentious.

Bhagwat and Modi’s statements are significant and were most awaited as they were considered as the hardliners, who were in the forefront of the Ayodhya movement.
